Rachel, a veteran-Marine combat correspondent-turned-photojournalist, has blazed a trail through the military and journalism worlds with her achievements. From graduating from the prestigious Defense School of Information, to being the most junior ranking military member at the Combat Camera Leadership Course, she has continuously pushed boundaries through her career. Her talent was evident as she received the Colton Family Award at the Eddie Adams Workshop in 2019, and later secured 1st Place for Combat Training Documentation at the Military Visual Awards for the same year.
Rachel's impactful imagery has even found a home in the National Museum of the Marine Corps, cementing her legacy in the military photography realm. Actively involved in Military Veterans in Journalism, she now shares her experiences as part of their Speakers Bureau, showcasing her passion for storytelling beyond the lens. Her dedication led her to speak on behalf of the organization at the WJXT newsroom alongside the President of MVJ.
These days, Rachel has been accepted to study veterinary sciences at the University of Arizona. Beyond her professional pursuits, she finds joy in creative writing, painting, and horseback riding.
